Activated Almond & Vanilla Protein Balls


Great post workout snack or to keep you going between meals and you can hide some superfood powders in them - great for getting all that goodness into the kiddies

Makes 20-30 balls depending on the size


  • 6 tbsp activated almond butter
  • 3 tbsp protein powder of your choice
  • 2 tbsp raw cacao powder 
  • 1-2 tbsp of powdered stevia or maple syrup 
  • 1/2 cup of coconut flour 
  • 2 tsp of superfood powder - could be anything: baobab, acai, spirulina, moringa.


For coating: raw cacao powder, desiccated coconut, crushed nuts, beetroot powder, baobab is great for its sherberty flavour which is particularly attractive to children.

Blend all ingredients thoroughly in a blender or by hand and chill for about an hour.

Place the coating option on a plate. Take a teaspoon of the mixture and roll into a ball between the palms of your hands, then roll in the coating. Keep in the fridge or freezer in a sealed container.
